My cousin and his girlfriend. We had a wonderful time last New Year’s, or as they call it in Scotland “Hogmanay.”

Scotland: The Castle of Park in Glenluce photographed by Juergen Teller, Vogue Italia November 1997

Yep that’s Scotland in a nutshell..
And by the way, what’s up with this: I told an English dude last night that I’d spent the last couple months in the UK, and he asked where so I told him mostly in Edinburgh, and he just started tsk-ing. Like, “tsk, tsk, tsk, tsk, tsk.” What the hell is that about?

Edinburgh Castle, midnight. I heard nightingales singing in the graveyard of the Parish Church of St. Culbert.
Then I danced my face off at Café Voltaire. I met the two most beautiful girls in Edinburgh on the dancefloor. We had a ball.

Ferguson tartan (ancient).
I’d love a piece in this fabric. It’s a bit dangerous hanging around Howie’s kilt shop. I’m liable to commission a tweed coat at any minute.

Living in Scotland makes my Burberry coat make sense.

Tweeds have taken on a whole new dimension.

Utili-kilts don’t seem out of place.

I must go thrifting.
